Keona Drakeford didn’t become a leader in the field of data science overnight. She earned an associate’s degree in mathematics in her native New York, balancing her studies with motherhood and various jobs in the finance industry. Keona went on to complete her bachelor’s in statistics and MSA at NC State. As an MSA student, Keona served as team lead on a practicum project sponsored by the VF Corporation. Upon graduating in 2016, she accepted a position as a marketing optimization senior associate at JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, Ohio, and her career has blossomed since then.
