Despite athletics rivalries between the two institutions, NC State’s Institute for Advanced Analytics has welcomed hundreds of UNC-Chapel Hill alumni into its MSA program over the years. Two of these Carolina graduates recently connected when MSA ’24 student Eason Warren interviewed Jackson Cabell ’20. Both pursued economics and statistics majors and/or minors during their undergraduate careers and enrolled in the MSA program directly thereafter. Eason picked Jackson’s brain about his time at the Institute and how it prepared him for his subsequent data science roles at Bain & Company and (currently) Apple.
