Like many NC State MSA grads who held previous advanced degrees, Kasia Michalska ’20 had multiple professional pivot points. She earned BS and MS degrees in economics in her native Poland, where she worked as an economist for an NGO and later for the Polish prime minister. She then earned an MBA in the U.S. and shifted her focus to analytics in the private sector, working for two different insurance companies. Seeking an opportunity to both broaden and deepen her technical skills toolkit, Kasia enrolled in the MSA program. Since graduating, she has worked as a data scientist for Aetna, a CVS Health Company.
Here Kasia describes her experience during and since the MSA.
