Across the past six MSA classes (2017-2022), approximately 40% of students joined the program directly following completion of their undergraduate degrees. Alex Pirsos, a current student, and (Virginia) Clare Burns ‘17 are two such individuals; Alex studied marketing at Elon University and Clare earned a bachelor’s in public health from the University of Texas at Austin. Alex recently interviewed Clare to learn more about her journey in analytics. Upon graduation from the MSA program, Clare worked for Accenture in Washington, D.C., where she was promoted from a data scientist senior analyst role to data scientist consultant and team lead. In October 2019, Clare transitioned to her current role as a senior business analyst at Apple in her native Texas.
