Current MSA student Louise Lindegaard recently interviewed Tom Pinckney ‘18 on his experiences at the Institute and beyond. They share a background in the sciences: Louise studied chemistry and geography at UNC-Chapel Hill; Tom studied biology at UNC Charlotte, then worked for nearly three years at Novozymes, a biotech company. As a student in the MSA program, Tom served as a practicum team lead on a project sponsored by The Home Depot. Following graduation, he and his family moved to Nashville, where Tom joined Asurion as a senior quantitative analyst. He later returned to the Raleigh area where he now works as a senior data scientist with PrecisionLender — a Q2-owned financial services company.
